VON Europe Autumn 2006 -- Report from the floor
BERLIN, Germany -- The buzz was strong Tuesday as conference and Expo Delegates converged on the expo floor for the second day of VON Europe Autumn 2006 here. Exhibitors demonstrated the latest in software, infrastructure, testing and management tools designed to enable voice and video to be delivered via IP.
The buzz continued as the Expo Theaters kicked off the on-show-floor education programs with Nokia discussing mobility issues and Sonus discussing IMS architecture. Both sessions drew standing room only crowds. Many pre-planned and impromptu meetings are taking place both on and off the Expo floor.
Thorsten Deutrich, CEO of Communipen, one of the exhibiting companies at VON Europe, said the following: "This is the best expo that I have ever been at. I have been in non-stop conversations since the show floor opened two hours ago." When asked about the attendees, Mr. Deutrich said," The attendees are the highest quality. I have been talking to buyers from Germany, Canada, Australia and Qatar. This is truly a worldwide audience." Communipen is a company that chose VON Europe as the venue to launch their company and their new VoIP solution.
VON Europe 2006 Autumn continues through Wednesday.
